 Mask art in Sri Lanka👹

Mask art is a traditional art of the Sinhalese people. It is associated with the dance traditions of the up country, low country and Sabaragamuwa. 

      Sri Lanka is an island famous for its masks. While we can not say for sure how far back the history of this mask art goes, it is safe to say that it is several centuries old. It is evident from their history that these masks were also associated with the ancestors of Sri Lanka. That history testifies that they painted their own bodies and faces to perform their sacrifices. It is no secret that mask art in Sri Lanka represents a variety of cultural elements. At the same time, the mask art has made a reasonable contribution to the culture of Asia. 

Ambalangoda in the Southern Province is one of the most famous masked cities in Sri Lanka. However, the city is famous not only for carving masks but also for selling masks. Masks have also become very popular in the Ambalangoda area among foreign tourists. These modern masks are adorned with bright colors and have also been used as a ploy to lure tourists to sell masks. Natural colors are often used to color these masks, which has been a great help in polishing the naturalness and culture of the masks. These masks are often used for various invisible forces. Sri Lanka can be described as an island famous for offering invisible forces such as demons and gods.

 The University success I had👩‍🎓

Almost every person in life has many different dreams in their life. They change from person to person. And while not all of those dreams can come true, we can often make those dreams come true to some extent through effort. 

       I am humbled and proud to say that going to University is one of the dreams of my life come true. Making parents' dreams come true is one of my highest hopes. So I do not believe that the blessings they get from it will come from anything else. 

Now, When I  have enrolled my self for graduation in University of Visual & Performing Arts & I'm specializing in dancing. And this is my first year. But it is a pity to say that the University experience we have been eagerly awaiting is a bit far from us. This is because in the face of the pandemic that the world is currently facing, we have to do our University work through online technology. It is a very difficult and at times a bitter experience. It is heartbreaking to remember that lecturers spend so much time with their friends studying happily. Looking forward to meeting friends and lecturers. I hope that opportunity arises soon.

But by now this situation has largely been avoided and this situation has created intense competition among all. This learning is essential not only to develop knowledge but also to become a person of values.

Today, the whole world is facing a terrible pandemic. Here all parties in the world are facing severe difficulties from all economic and social aspects. The students studying here are facing severe difficulties. At present in the face of this pandemic all students in Schools, Universities are learning through online technology. But getting these facilities is not something that everyone can do. This problem has emerge as a major problem in our area as well. It can be pointed out that the lack of signal as well as the unavailability of these technical tools is one of the difficulties faced by many students while studying online technology. In the face of this problem, while studying, some students are getting a proper education, but some people are being treated unfairly.

It's not their fault, it's the misfortune of the elders.

At present there are children's and elders homes. It's also very sad to say. Because today we see a society where the mother and father who raised their children are being taken to elders homes and roads. It is not surprising that children's homes are also being set up so that the children of those who are treated like parents can do so. But will they ever think that one day their children will follow their example? It is a fact that they have forgotten that they will face the same fate.

How sinful is it to leave them alone in a time when they need to be cared for like a small child? If they had thought for a moment what kind of fate we would be facing today if they had done the same to us when we were little, it is unthinkable that they would be motivated to do such things. The same is true of children's homes. All children are children. They too deserve love, care and kindness. They love them too. So shouldn't we think more about this society? We must also work to change these situations as much as possible. This must take care of their fathers and children as if they were their own lives. Without them, no matter how miserable, it is useless.
